Dr. Navin C Nanda is a Distinguished Professor of Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease at University of Alabama. As a pioneer in the development of echocardiography, he was the first to discover the pulmonary valve by echocardiography, diagnose a bicuspid aortic valve, invent treadmill exercise echocardiography, introduce color Doppler in the USA, and many other techniques. Dr. Nanda’s work has revolutionized the way cardiology is practiced in the world today.
